Versatile! That's the only word that suits the Sun System® Galaxy™ Electronic Ballasts. It runs on both 120 volt and 240 volt power! It burns your choice of HPS (high pressure sodium) or MH (metal halide) bulbs! As your gardening needs change, the Galaxy accomodates you. 

Sunlight Supply's innovative engineering of this remote ballast drives the lamp to peak performance while also saving energy. The Galaxy uses 5 - 12% less electricity than most magnetic versions. It has an efficiency power factor of 99.9%. The Soft Start feature increases the life of your lamp and reduces lumen depreciation. Short circuit protection technology helps prevent lamp and ballast damage during power flucuations (power surges).

The Galaxy Electronic Ballast has a tough anodized, extruded aluminum housing. It's lightweight for easy handling. Even though it has nearly silent operation, there are rubber feet to further reduce noise and vibration.

A six-foot 120 volt power cord is included with each Galaxy ballast. To use 240V power, simply replace the power cord with the optional 240 volt Smart Volt cord and you're set to go - no further alteration is needed.

NOTE: The 250W DUAL Galaxy Electronic Ballast runs 2 reflectors and requires 2 cordsets.
